چکیده
A unique way to fabricate hollow microspheres by using an amphiphilic azo homopolymer (BP-AZ-CA) and photoinduced deformation behavior of the hollow structures in the solid state are reported.

Self-assembly of hydrophilic homopolymers: a matter of RAFT end groups.
Unusual self-assembly behavior is observed for a range of hydrophilic homopolymers. This self-assembly behavior is contrary to the expected behavior of such hydrophilic polymers and instead mimics more commonly reported amphiphilic block copolymers. It is proposed that the unique combination of hydrophobic end groups at both the α and ω chain end accounts for this unusual self-assembly behavior...
متن کاملpH-responsive self-assembly of fluorophore-ended homopolymers.
pH-responsive perylene-ended amphiphilic homopolymers can self-assemble into flower-like structures by pH-adjustment. Both the π-π stacking of perylene end groups and the electrostatic repulsion effect of the polymer chains contribute to the pH-responsive self-assembly in aqueous solution.
متن کاملSynthesis and characterization of an amphiphilic chitosan bearing octyl and methoxy polyethylene
An amphiphilic N-octyl-O-methoxy poly (ethylene glycol) chitosan was successfully prepared by grafting successively octyl groups onto amino groups at chitosan’s C-2 position as hydrophobic moieties and methoxy polyethylene glycol (MPEG) groups onto hydroxyl groups at C-6, C-3 as hydrophilic ones. A certain amount of -NH2 was retained in the structure of chitosan derivatives through protection b...
متن کاملCTAB-induced morphological transition of DNA micro-assembly from filled spheres to hollow capsules.
DNA microspheres formed by self-assembly of DNA three-way junctions with self-complementary sticky-ends undergo an unexpected dynamic transformation from filled spheres into hollow capsules upon addition of cationic surfactants such as cetyltrimethylammonium bromide.
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of Tensile Deformation Behaviors of Iron Syntactic Foam with Hollow Glass Microspheres
The elastoplastic deformation behaviors of hollow glass microspheres/iron syntactic foam under tension were modeled using a representative volume element (RVE) approach. The three-dimensional microstructures of the iron syntactic foam with 5 wt % glass microspheres were reconstructed using the random sequential adsorption algorithm. The constitutive behavior of the elastoplasticity in the iron ...
